Today I’d like to introduce you to my long-awaited Mazda Miata project. Her name is “Joker”. She’s originally from Belgium and painted in what some call Merlot, others Cosmos — either way, it’s my favorite color and suits her personality perfectly.
I intentionally didn’t buy the car in perfect condition — I wanted something I could build and shape with my own hands. I’ve completed several Honda projects before and have always had a good connection with the Honda world. But now it’s time to gain some Mazda experience. The MX-5’s history, iconic status, and pure driving feel were what really drew me in.
In this thread, I’ll be sharing the progress, modifications, and overall transformation of the car step by step. The photo below shows the car exactly as I bought it.
