Hi everyone,

Currently in Wroclaw and looking to get an NC1. I'm concerned about the soft-top, the current owner admited that water from the pressure washer leaked in but rain stays out. I plan to use this car in the winter and this just means cold will also come through so I was looking for a replacement.

I find plenty of options for the NA/NB, but nothing for NC. Do you perhaps know where this can be bought in Poland?

Thanks!

Original hardtops for NC are kinda rare, heard from someone that only canadian version had attachable hard top. Have seen one or two for sale in last 1.5 year, price is about 7-9k PLN. You can always buy replica from carbonmiata - carbon fiber or fiberglass but shipping will be super expensive. Maybe it will be easier to buy PRHT?

Also, it is not unusual for a car with frameless windows to allow water ingress while pressure washing. Look for signs of persitent leaks: wet carpets and mould

I recently pressure washed my PRHT. A little water did get through. No big deal. Rain does indeed stay out. Notice that pressure washer generate 120bar, so yeah... it can make a forcefull entry if you get too close with it.

As for the cold. It does not matter at all. I have driven top down in -10°C, warm hat, heat turned on, and it was nice drive. Can't say the same about driving in 30°C heat in full sun. It was painful and I couldn't bare it for too long before closing the roof and starting up the AC.

Have you tried top down, AC on? It works pretty well, IMO.

Yep. Absolutely nothing works when it's 30°C+ and full sun. I mean... yes, you can drive for 10 maybe 30 minutes top. But longer drives (especially on highway) are just impossible (for me).
