Thanks guys !
I installed all the parts, but i'm going to wait for the front shocks to install the suspension kit (maybe in summer) and change the geometry of the car.
With my destroyed OEM suspension I felt differences using the Sport reinforcement

The last weekend I was in Tczew in a Honda meeting with a friend. Nice place and people, it was good.
I'm working in my final project but I don't know where I can find the legislation about vehicles inspection or modifications. Someone can help me?

Hi guys !
I have long without visiting the forum
Some pics of my MX5 with the invisible mods:
-KYB Excel G
-NB2 Sport subframes
-Michelin Pilot Exalto 2
-Custom geometries
-Oil temperature gauge (LCD)
-A/C repaired
-FL22 anti-freeze + thermostat + aux. belts
I don't like very much the style bars. Now they are out
Soon (in 2014 ):
-Advance timing to 14 degrees.
-Full timing belt (complete, with waterpump, cam/crank seals, etc)
-Spark plugs + magnecor wires
-Aire filter
-Engine oil + filter

Pretty sure you can't change, advance timing in mk2. That was just mk1 mod.
Nice car and pics, not a fan of silver mx-5s but yours a beauty.
100% that you can't change timing in NB version. The timing in NB is controled by ecu.

Thanks !
And i think the same about de colour, maybe the silver sunlight its the worst color of the NB colours.
About the timing, 100% sure I can change
We have two methods: modify the CKP sensor or modify the timing wheel . I know some NB/NB2 1.8 with 14 degrees without problem, and the method is equal for the 1.6.
CKP mod
Wheel timing mod
Timing + randall intake are very cheap mods
Have you driven the car here on snow?

I have never driven in snow , but the last weekend was snowing in Gran Canaria !!
RS pisze:This mod is kind of devastation. NB and Nbfl have stock knock sensor. It allows the ECU to advance gnition more than in the table if it is possible.
We are modifying the timing base. The ECU thinks all its OK, it doesnt know the change but really the ignition is advanced 4 degrees.
Its a mod tested in a lot of MX5 without problem and with 95 octanes (maybe with 40º celsius, full trottle and 6800rpm we will have knock). I have the DIY link, but in spanish
More torque at all rpm, but a little less of power on to top (3-4hp ?). This mod is perfect for drive mountain roads.
For example, Flyin Miata sale an adjustable timing wheel to retard the ignition (its for turbo kits)

One week ago, the coolant temperature began to fail. The engine needs more time and km to warm up, and the temperature down if i was driving downhills.
Very rare, I changed the coolant and thermostat 6.000Km ago . Yesterday, I call to my Mazda dealer to ask about the oem thermostat and gasket: 70€ (280zl, more or less) for both
I bought an aftermarket set and changed it in the afternoon. Now, all its OK, but I need more km to test it
Only 6000k, fuck

Hi hybridpower,
Rule of thumb is, never save money on thermostats - we have had a case of a cheap aftermarket replacement break off and clog up the water ducts, leading to engine rebuild on an MSM.
So relax, it could have been worse:)

I know I get a lot of stick from the other two idiots about thinking this, but the MX-5 is a car that smiles when you drive it. It wants to be driven, in the way that those husky dogs actually enjoy pulling sledges. - James May

The old thermostat was brand QH.
Left- QH (old)
Right- Blueprint (new)
The screws are from the catch of the soft and hard top. I painted the pieces in black and changed all the screws for an black allen model
And about the timing, a frined of Spain changed the timing of his NB 1.8 the last weekend using the adjustible timing wheel of 5xRacing. You can advance or retard the timing
Adjustable wheel - OEM wheel

Hey, I've got a question of a different sort.
What are your personal opinions about Universidad de Murcia, Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, de Girona, de Valencia y de Gran Canaria?
in Madrid, Gerona and Murcia there are studies in english, and the rest is spanish only. I'm thinking of going on erasmus somewhere there, and I could use an inside opinion about those. Im mostly interested in electronics/computer science.
Gran Canaria is ofc my personal favorite but the spanish language seems a bit scary to me.
Cheers!

Hi Kurak !
I only have information about my university, Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. If your first problem is the spanish, my university will not be your option. Some lessons are in english, but it cases are strange and usually the lessons are in spanish.
I can ask to some friends of other universities if you like, but I think Madrid and Valencia could be your best options (if you are worried about the language). However, you must to know in Spain the people speak only a little bit of english. When a was in Poland, I didnt have any problems to comunicate because all knows english (varible levels) or tried to help me. In Spain is the same, but less people know english
The spanish is a language easy to know and you will not have problems to have a basic level. However, for my (spanish people in general) is very ver difficult learn other foreigns language. Is easier to you learn spanish than for me learn polish
Ouch ! Remember to check the flights between your city and the destination. Madrid is the capital, in this case is not a problem. But Murcia or Girona need to fly first to Madrid or Barcelona, take another plane and after a bus.
Ask my whatever you want !

Don't worry about flights or transport - I'm quite experienced about the language - I speak basic Spanish, A2 - I've been to Valencia and didn't love it very much, I liked Isles Baleares far far more and I'm expecting the same from Gran Canaria. I've been to Spain couple times and I know about the English issues - but I want to practice Spanish, but I'm afraid it's not good enough for academic purposes.

you're not allowed to participate more than once in the erasmus programme during your studies;
there are two kinds - the uni exchange and the probation option, both get you erasmus money and the programme backing;
one person is allowed to do both kinds, but not one of them twice... unless your uni treats II degree studies as 'seperate' to I degree, then these rules do no apply.

matpilch pisze:you're not allowed to participate more than once in the erasmus programme during your studies;
Not true anymore. As of the beginning of 2014 the Erasmus+ programme allows you to go once per one level of studies, effectively allowing you to go abroad 3 times (engineers, masters, and doctorate), some limits apply as the total time spent in foreign universities has to be less than 1.5years (not sure though).

Im going to try to remember the updates on my MX5 in last 2 years. Not to much, but perhaps it may be interesting to someone.
I changed the timing belt kit, water pump (with all seals), camshaft seals and front cranksaft seal. Also coolant and install the Magnecor plugs
Painted the wheels and make a randall intake
I upgraded the suspension setup with a modify VW Polo bumstop (highly recomended) and delete the sun visors
I Had a problem with one Magnecor wire (corrosion). Magnecor sent me a repair kit free. I Changed the enormous windshield water bottle for the little version
